The business providing this guarantee
This website is operated by Archers Upholstery Limited, company number 14906775. The Archer’s brand has previously been used by other businesses. This 20-year guarantee applies to furniture supplied by Archers Upholstery Limited with this guarantee; it does not retrospectively add frame cover to furniture sold without it by a previous operator. For an older order, the supplier named in the original paperwork and the terms given at that time are relevant. Nothing here excludes any responsibility we have by law or under an obligation transferred to us. Contact us if you need help identifying the supplier or applicable cover.
Our promise
Archers Upholstery Limited provides this additional guarantee, without charge, for the structural frame of furniture we manufacture and supply for normal domestic use. It lasts 20 years from the date of delivery or collection and applies to furniture supplied for use in the United Kingdom. Your order information identifies the furniture covered.
What the frame cover includes
We cover failure of the load-bearing frame and its structural joints caused by faulty materials or workmanship during normal use in a home. If a fault is covered, we will arrange an appropriate repair or replacement of the affected frame, including the reasonable labour and transport needed to provide that remedy, at no cost to you. We will discuss the practical arrangements with you first.
What this additional cover excludes
The 20-year frame guarantee does not cover fabric, leather, foam, cushion fillings, springs, webbing, upholstery finishes, detachable feet, reclining or sofa-bed mechanisms, mattresses, USB fittings or other electrical components. Any separate additional cover for those items will be stated in your order information. Their exclusion from this guarantee does not exclude your statutory rights.
Normal use and care
This guarantee does not cover frame damage caused by an accident, misuse, overloading, standing or jumping on the furniture, sitting on arms or backrests, pets, water, fire, unsuitable storage, or commercial use unless we have agreed that use in writing. Follow the care and use instructions supplied with your furniture. Ordinary cosmetic wear is not a structural frame fault.
Moving, alterations and repairs
Damage caused during a move, an alteration or a repair outside our arrangements is not covered by this additional guarantee. We will consider the cause of the particular fault: moving house or having an unrelated repair does not automatically cancel all frame cover. Please contact us before arranging a repair you want to claim for so we can assess it and agree a suitable remedy.
How to make a claim
Email sales@archersupholstery.co.uk, call 01709 828975, or write to Archers Upholstery Limited, Unit B1 Rail Mill Way, Parkgate, Rotherham, England, S62 6JQ. Include your name, delivery address, approximate purchase date and a description of the problem. An order reference and photographs are helpful; if you cannot supply them, contact us and we will help identify the purchase and arrange another way to assess the fault. We may need to inspect the furniture. We aim to respond within 24 hours; an acknowledgement is not a promise to complete a repair within that time.
Your consumer rights remain
This guarantee is in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Those rights apply to the whole product, including upholstery and foam, and may provide remedies for goods that are faulty, not as described or unfit for purpose. The exclusions above do not restrict those rights. Showroom or ex-display status does not remove statutory rights; any specific disclosed condition is recorded with the sale.
Keep a copy
You can download these terms or ask us for a copy by email or post. The guarantee terms supplied with your purchase apply to that purchase; later website changes do not reduce an existing promise. A repair under this guarantee does not shorten its remaining period.
