The Archer’s brand and earlier orders

This website is operated by Archers Upholstery Limited, company number 14906775, under its current ownership. The Archer’s brand has previously been used by other businesses. The brand name alone does not mean that an older order was supplied by this company.

Our current 20-year frame guarantee does not retrospectively add cover to furniture supplied without that guarantee by an earlier operator. For older orders, please check the supplier named on your invoice and the terms provided at purchase. We can help you identify the relevant information.

This explanation does not remove an existing guarantee or exclude any responsibility we have by law or under an obligation transferred to us. Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

Showroom furniture

Confirm the exact piece, current selling price, what is included, dimensions, upholstery, condition and availability. Where a sofa and chair are shown together, confirm whether you are buying each piece separately or as a set.

A made-to-order starting price is separate from the price of a photographed showroom piece. A saved shortlist does not reserve stock or promise availability.

Made-to-measure specifications

Review a written specification for the product, dimensions, layout or orientation, upholstery, cushion treatment, finish, feet and special requirements. Check it carefully before agreeing to the order.

Samples and photographs help show colour and texture, but screens, lighting, natural materials and dye batches can affect appearance. Tell us before ordering if an exact match matters.

Standard seating widths describe the space between arms, not the outside footprint. A sofa, corner or chaise plan contains your requested measurements and approximate arm allowances; it is not a production drawing or an access guarantee. Signature sections up to 2.4 metres of seating between the arms can be estimated online where all chosen options have prices. Larger joined sections and fully bespoke changes are individually quoted. Traditional bespoke dimensions are agreed through consultation.

Prices and payment arrangements

Website guide prices include VAT and are rounded to the nearest £5. Confirm the total price, delivery or assembly charges and selected extras in the written quotation. Future orders placed through online checkout will require full payment upfront; this preview does not yet take online orders or payments. Showroom payment arrangements are confirmed separately.

Band A is the fabric starting point. Your exact fabric reference may have a different price band. Leather uses a separate price basis. A design photograph does not establish which upholstery or options a starting price includes.

This website has no checkout, payment-card fields or online order confirmation. An enquiry or downloaded brief is not an accepted order. Do not send card details by email.

Delivery, access and changes

Confirm the delivery address, service, charges, timing and access requirements before ordering. Give details of doorways, halls, stairs, lifts, parking and other restrictions, and check the actual furniture or section measurements.

Ask how a proposed change affects the specification, price and timing, and obtain written confirmation. A production estimate and a confirmed delivery date are different things.

Returns, rights and guarantees

Cancellation rules depend on the product and how it was purchased. Standard distance purchases, genuinely bespoke goods and satisfactory showroom purchases can have different change-of-mind rights. Your statutory rights for faulty or misdescribed goods remain.

Our frames carry a 20-year structural guarantee for normal domestic use. This additional cover is for the frame, not fabric, leather, foam, fillings or mechanisms. Statutory rights still apply to the whole product.

Confirm the complete sales terms applicable to your particular purchase before accepting the order.
